It's a Girl!

That's right folks! Now nobody has to worry about Quatro. Quatrina is the new idea. We'll see how that flies.
I have come to the realization that Richie is the pickier one when it comes to choosing names. We had two perfectly adorable names picked out for about two months each, and at the end of that two months, Richie suddenly decides he doesn't like those names anymore. Is that LEGAL? I mean sheesh, we can't agree on anything else, why change it when we did actually agree in the first place?
On that note, we need some ideas. What girl names do YOU like? We'd love to hear from you. However, Richie has a few stipulations: 1--no names of countries (like Aja or Kenia or something.) 2--no names that are too far "out there." If he hasn't ever heard it, he probably won't like it.
We'd love to hear your ideas!

Congratulations!!! FYI your grandparents fit everything into their car so be prepared for a big load of stuff. The girls are here for name ideas. Here are their votes. Kamryn: Becca, Halle, Abby
Addy: Olivia, Jane, Jennifer.
Brevyn wanted to suggest a name too, Ella. Troy likes the name Lauryn. My vote is Brynn. (Since we didn't get to use it.) Love you guys. Talk to you soon.

What about Quatra? So, is BreAnne out? I like that one. Do you have any family names from way down the line that you could use? Sometimes they are a little strange but every once in awhile you come across a really nice one.
I am so excited for you guys!

Bella, Claire, Katelyn, Ella, Eva (or Ava) are girl's names that I love (I WILL use them if we have more girls, but since we aren't related I'm willing to share).

oh, and my neighbor named their little girl Talitha. I know that is kind of out there, but I thought Richard would appreciate it as it comes from the bible. Christ says Talitha cumi before he raises a young girl from death.

I'm all about traditional names but I won't give you the ONE name that Rich and I agree on. Here are the others that I like: Abigail (Abby), Hannah, Emma, Elizabeth (Lizzy), Megan, hmmm that's all I can think of right now.

We really like Eve or Evie (already taken in our family). Let's see... Victoria or Tori, Savannah, Rory, Bryn, Nora, Mackenzie, Eden, Marea (mar ay uh), or Payton.

Our absolute favorite right now (and probably the name we will use if we ever have another girl because we BOTH love it) is Ashby.

Don't stress too much about a name. Both of ours were "baby boy Maskey" till right before we came home. Stephen won't let me leave till we name them.
Get a big name book.
After she is born list all the names you like, then look at her face as you say each on out loud.
Eventually one will fit just right.
We never thought we'd have a Garrett, hadn't even talked about that name, but it fit.
I've always liked the names Annalee and Lynnette. Stephen has requested 7 boys and no girls so you can have them. :-D
Happy naming.

All I have to say is that if you think a girl name is hard, try having a boy sometime!!! We're so excited for you! Thanks for posting on our blog!

Hi Ang! It's Allie Stuart! I came across your blog from someone else's. I am soooooo excited that you are going to be a mom! You were always the mom of the Ricks College roomies. Some of my fav girl names are Ainsley, Kate, Brynn, & Sophie. You like spanish names...what about Japanese? My sister-in-law's name is Akie (ah-kee-ay).

I vote for Ginger. That will guarantee she'll be spunky. Don't use any of those names that everyone else is using! Maybe Anabelle. Whatever you name her, she'll be amazing...just like her parents!

Kim and Scott said...

Don't even ask me about names, Scott and I haven't even talked about names at all yet because we know we won't agree. So, if you have any good names for us I'll take them. Maybe I'll steal Quatra from you!

Ok after reading other people's posts I remember a girls name that I love and it's unique -- Emmy. Some friends in Buffalo used it because it's a Japanese name and the guy went to Japan on his mission.

Picking a name is tough stuff! I tried to pick names with a meaning that was meaningful to me. (Lola means strong woman and Isabelle means consecrated to God.) By the way Lola and Isabelle are adorable names...you can totally use them if you so desire. What else? I like Olivia, Claire, Ryanne, Emily, Elizabeth, Sydney, Meredith. I am so happy for you!

What about: Miranda, Bailey, Bethany, Salem, Marissa, Shyanne...just to name a few...

The real advice, don't tell anyone the name you have chosen untill you have named her. Not every one will like what you chose, but she is yours to name, so don't listen to people who don't like what you have chosen!!!!!
